10 India-sponsored terrorists killed in D.I. Khan, Kalat operations: ISPR
Security forces killed 10 terrorists, including a high-value target, in separate intelligence-based operations (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kalat, Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops conducted the operation on December 24 in Kulachi, D.I. Khan, after receiving intelligence about the presence of khawarij in the area.
During the action, security personnel effectively engaged the hideout, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists.
Those killed terrorists included Dilawar, a key militant ring leader who was wanted by law enforcement agencies for his involvement in multiple terrorist activities. The government had announced a Rs4 million head money on him.
ISPR said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed khawarij, who were involved in attacks on security forces as well as the killing of civilians.
Sanitisation operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists, the statement said, adding that operations would persist until the complete elimination of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism.
Eight terrorists killed in Kalat
In a separate statement, the ISPR said that the security forces killed eight Indian-sponsored terrorists in the Kalat district of Balochistan on December 24.
According to the ISPR, the operation was conducted after receiving reports about the presence of militants affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan in the area.
During the operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between security forces and the armed militants, resulting in the killing of eight terrorists.
Their hideout was also effectively targeted and destroyed.
The killed militants were linked to the Indian-sponsored terror network and were involved in activities against security forces.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, the ISPR stated.
“Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the statement said.
