KARACHI: Skilled Pakistani radio, stage and television artist, Maqsood Hassan departed from this temporary abode on Wednesday due to heart attack, Aaj News reported.

Married six years ago, Maqsood left behind his wife as they did not have any children.

Hassan started his career from a children’s program on Radio Pakistan and participated in various well known theatre plays and TV serials.

Stretched over nearly 50 years, his acting career ranged from performances for radio, television, stage and film.

His final stage performance was in Nazar Hussain’s ‘Hum log.’

Maqsood Hassan will be most evoked for his role in the television drama ‘Quddusi sahab ki bewa,’ which surrounded the problems faced by a lower middle class locality of Pakistan and his film “Jaag Utha Insaan”.

His funeral prayers will be offered on Thursday afternoon at Ghazali mosque, Civic View, Hassan Square in Karachi.
