KARACHI: Four shopkeepers were arrested and 65 others fined of Rs 61,900 for profiteering, hoarding and adulteration of essential food items in Karachi, said Commissioner office's spokesman on Wednesday.

Sharing details of the exercise undertaken on Tuesday, as part of the ongoing division level campaign in Karachi, he said those fined and arrested were from Gulzar-e-Hijri, Garden, Landhi, Airport and North Nazimabad.

They were said to include four flour millers, 40 chicken sellers, four grocers, four meat sellers, three green grocers, three fruit sellers and 11 milk sellers.
