A recent reorganization within the cabinet saw Qamar Zaman Kaira taking over Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan as the new Federal Information Minister. Kaira held the Information portfolio prior to Dr. Awan and was once again handed over the portfolio in the recent reshuffle. Dr. Awan, on the other hand has been assigned Minister for National Regulation and Services.

Details further specify that former Law Minister, Maula Bux Chandio has been made Minister for Political Affairs.

The other newly appointed ministers included Raja Pervez Ashraf, who has been made Minister for Information Technology. Nazar Mohammad Gondal as been handed over the Capital Administration and Development Ministry; while Rana Muhammad Farooq has been made Federal Minister for Climate Changes.

Meanwhile, the state ministers have also been assigned portfolios.

Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi has been made State Minister for Water and Power, while Samsam Bukhari will operate as State Information Minister.

Moreover, Sardar Muhammed Moazzam will work as State Minister for National Food Security, Daust Muhammed Mazari, as State Minister for Telecommunication and Sardar Saleem Hyder will take up Defence Affairs as State Minister, whereas Abbas Khan Afridi will oversee Commerce Ministry as State Minister.
