Indian hockey team excused to come to Pakistan for the Tri-nation hockey tournament scheduled on April 9, Aaj news reported.

The team refused to come due to security concerns, statement said.

Talking to media in Lahore, Secretary Pakistan hockey federation (PHF), Asif Bajwa said that following India’s refusal the PHF had decided to cancel the tri-nation hockey tournament which was scheduled to be held on April 9 to 13.

He also added that Indian refusal hurt the sentiments of Pakistanis and they should not be scared of their security because China proved Pakistan a safe country by participating in a successful event.
