President Asif Zardari on Wednesday appointed Air Marshall Tahir Rafique Butt as the new Air Chief.

According to Presidential spokes-man Farahat-ullah Babar that President Zardari appointed Tahir Rafique Butt as Air Chief on the advice of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Butt will assume charge as the new Air Chief on March 19. He will succeed Air Chief Rao Qamar Suleman.
