Gold jumped by Rs 342 to close at Rs 51,942 per 10 grams in the local market Wednesday as its international price surged to $ 1,782 an ounce, market sources said.

According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also increased by Rs 400 at Rs 60,600.

Silver closed higher at Rs 1,015.71 per 10 grams.
