The protestors were hurling stones and disrupted traffic, he added. The people of twin cities were facing abysmally low gas pressure causing outrage among them which resulted in such protests, said Muhammad Kaleem, a protestor.
He said that there was no gas at all at homes and people are unable to cook meal for the whole day and are forced to use alternative expensive energy sources.
"We have been facing the problem for the last several weeks due to gas load shedding. The pressure is too low and it takes hours to make only tea a government official Saleem Khan said .
In some areas, there is no gas and complete outage of gas is being witnessed. But at the end of month, we receive the bills in thousands," a protester Tahir complained.
