A top Maoist leader in Nepal today underlined that the former PLA guerrillas will not hand over their weapons to the government?till the integration process with the army is complete, a move likely to derail the stalled peace process after the exit of the UNMIN next week.
C P Gajurel, the Secretary of Unified CPN (Maoist), said the weapons belonging to the Maoists' People?s Liberation Army (PLA) will not be handed over to the government?till the task of the army integration is complete.
Even as he said the Maoists were serious about the peace process and drafting of a new constitution, he warned that the Maoists will be go for a revolt if other parties try to hatch a conspiracy against these tasks.
