When will schools open in Islamabad after winter vacations?
Private educational institutions in Islamabad would reopen on January 6 (tomorrow), following the winter holidays, according to a notification.
The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority issued the notification regarding the resumption of classes on Saturday.
Abdul Waheed Khan, the Private School Association secretary general, emphasised that due to the “significant time lost” by students because of protests and demonstrations, there would be no further extension of the holidays.
Khan stated that parents have been instructed to send their children to school in warm uniforms, jackets, or sweaters. The decision has been made by the administration of private schools to “avoid adding extra financial burdens on parents amid rising inflation.”
Private schools and colleges in the federal capital were closed from December 21 to January 5 for the winter break.
