Justice Khawaja Sharif retires today

The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Justice Khawaja Mohammad Shairf will retire on Wednesday (today) after serving nearly two years in office.

Justice Khawaja Sharif was elevated to the High Court in May 1998 and served for nearly 11 hours in the apex court.

Justic Sharif had, prior to being elevated to the LHC, also served as Advocate General of Punjab from May 31, 1997 to May 20, 1998.

It is pertinent to mention here that Justice Ejaz Chuadhary, most senior judge in LHC, will replace Justice Khawaja Sharif as the new Chief Justice.
