Iqbal Day celebrated with national zeal
The 133rd birth anniversary of poet Allama Mohammad Iqbal was celebrated on Tuesday across the country with national zeal, fervor and enthusiasm.
The main event held at Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore where a change of guard ceremony was held in a befitting manner and a smartly turned Pakistan Navy contingent assumed duties.
The ceremonial guard mounting followed floral wreath laying at the mazar of Allama Iqbal by Rear Admiral Syed Bashir Ahmed SI(M), Commander Central Punjab, on behalf of the Chief of the Naval Staff, officers and men of the Pakistan Navy was held in Lahore. Later on Commander Central Punjab offered Fateha at the Mazar.
In the city of Iqbal, Sialkot, the birth anniversary of great philosopher and poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal was celebrated with enthusiasm.
