Police has registered a case against a lawyer in Multan after he reportedly tortured a nine-year old girl working as maid in his house.

Initial reports suggest that Advocate Mujahid Khan severely tortured his maid, identified as Sapna, to cure his wife who, he believed, had been taken over by an 'evil spirit'.

Sapna told police that Mujahid had kept hostage for a week and subjected her to severe beating. The lawyer also burnt her face and others body parts with iron.

Meanwhile, police vowed to take a stern action against Mujahid Khan who has gone into hiding.
