Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon's divorce from actor Ryan Philippe has been confirmed, nearly one year after the couple's separation, court documents revealed on Wednesday.
Witherspoon, 31, filed for divorce from Philippe, 33, in November 2006 after a seven-year relationship which began when the duo met on the set of "Cruel Intentions." The couple have two children, Ava, 8 and Deacon, 3.
According to court documents published by celebrity news website TMZ.com, the couple's divorce was confirmed on last Friday.
Witherspoon won an Oscar last year for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in "Walk The Line" and is reported to be one of the top three highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, commanding around 25 million dollars a picture.
Philippe starred in 2006 best picture Oscar-winner "Crash" and earned favourable reviews for his performance in the Clint Eastwood war drama "Flags of our Fathers" and espionage thriller "Breach."
