News analyst Irshad Bhatti has described his second marriage to former actress Sama Raj as both “challenging and essential”.
This news follows the tragic passing of his first wife, who succumbed to cancer, leaving Bhatti with two children.
In a statement, Bhatti expressed heartfelt sentiments, saying, “May Allah grant my wife a high place in Jannah [paradise].”
He revealed that he has refrained from sharing photos of his children, respecting his late wife’s wishes to keep their lives private.
He noted, “We never appeared on Suhail Waraich’s show, and today I feel the need to discuss my second marriage as people have been congratulating me.”
Bhatti reflected on the loss of relationships after his first wife’s death—his friend, the mother of his children, and a positive influence in his life.
While speaking about his childhood experiences, he stated, “My childhood was very difficult without a mother; she passed away when I was going to school. I didn’t want my children to endure the same pain.”
He emphasised the need for support at home, stating, “We were in crisis, and Sama Raj was our best friend. Although I never considered marrying her as she was a companion and friend, she remained by our side during tough times.”
