'Husband needs no permission of his wife for his second marriage', Islami Nazriati Council
ISLAMABAD: Islami Nazriati Council on Monday announced that husband needs no permission or acceptance of his first wife for getting married again, whereas they claimed that asking for permission is against Islamic laws.
While addressing in a conference of Islami Nazriati Council, Leader and Chairman of Jamiat-al-Islam (F) Maualana Muhammad Khan Sherani gave a detail description about the laws which were certified in 1961.
A certified law of 1961 mentioned that a husband needs permission of his first wife to marry again, but Mualana Muhammad Khan Sherani objected this law and claimed it against Islamic laws.
Giving his statement a perfect reason, Mualana Muhammad Khan Sherani said that a husband does not need to take permission from his first wife to marry again, but the husband who is marrying again is bounded to treat all his wife's equally and with justice, whereas Mualana Muhammad Khan Sherani said that even the husbands should not be bounded to pay her wife with interest. He mentioned that he will write a letter to Tassaduq Hussain Jillani in which he will make a request to cancel off the interest paying bounding.
