The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department of Sindh has issued a public notice mandating the replacement of number plates for all commercial and private vehicles in the province.
According to the notice, all private vehicles must now display white number plates featuring a design inspired by the Sindhi Ajrak, while commercial vehicles will be required to have yellow number plates with the same Ajrak design.
It has been specified that after April 3, 2025, yellow number plates on private vehicles and black number plates on commercial vehicles will no longer be accepted. This decision aims to enhance vehicle safety measures and ensure uniform identification.
Vehicle owners are urged to replace their number plates before the April 3 deadline. The notice emphasizes that this replacement is mandatory, and failure to comply will render the old number plates invalid.
