Motorways and highways toll tax increased by up to 30%

The National Highways Authority has increased the toll taxes for vehicles up to 30% on national highways and multiple motorways. The new rates will take effect from July 1.

Toll taxes have been increased on National Highways, M-1 (Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway), M-3 (Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway), M-4 ( Faisalabad-Multan Motorway), and M-5 (Sukkur Multan Motorway) with M-15 (Hazara Motorway).

No announcement has been made for M-2 Lahore Islamabad motorway though.

The toll tax for cars on National Highways has been raised from Rs30 to Rs40. Wagons, buses and other vehicles also pay higher tolls now.

The toll tax for cars traveling along the entire length of Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway M-1 has been increased from Rs240 to Rs350.

The toll tax for cars on the M-3 has been increased from Rs390 to Rs500 rupees.

The toll tax for cars on the M-4 Motorway has been increased from Rs510 to Rs650.

M-14 Islamabad–Dera Ismail Khan motorway toll tax is now set at Rs550.
