Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, is all set to begin flying to Pakistan this month, introducing direct services to Islamabad and Lahore and strengthening travel links between the two countries.

The airline opened bookings for both routes on July 30 and will operate the services using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Riyadh Air will commence daily flights between Riyadh and Islamabad on August 14, offering seven flights a week between the two capitals.

The carrier will then launch its Riyadh-Lahore service on August 18, operating three flights per week.

The new services are expected to make travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia easier, giving business travellers, tourists, overseas Pakistanis and pilgrims more direct flight options.

The launch also marks Riyadh Air’s official entry into Pakistan, as the Saudi carrier continues to expand its international network under the Kingdom’s ambitious aviation plans.

With huge demand for travel between the two countries, the airline has added Islamabad and Lahore to its route map, boosting connectivity and offering passengers more choice on one of the region’s busiest air routes.
