CTD arrests suspected RAW-linked militant in Okara
1 min readThe Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a suspected militant near Satghara Mor in Okara, allegedly linked to India’s intelligence agency RAW, officials said.
According to CTD, the operation followed intelligence that the suspect was carrying explosives with the intent of targeting sensitive installations.
A special CTD team acted on the tip-off and arrested him on the spot.
The accused identified himself as Ali Khan, a resident of Mohalla Kundi Miana, Peshawar, CTD said.
Officials said explosives, prima cord, detonators, electric wires, three batteries, two mobile phones, and both Pakistani and Indian currency were recovered from his possession.
CTD Sahiwal has registered a case against the accused under espionage, terrorism and related charges, and has launched an investigation.
Officials said the probe is ongoing and further significant disclosures are expected.
