Jaffar Express suspended for two days ahead of PM’s Quetta visit
1 min readJaffar Express train service has been suspended for two days, officials said on Monday, as heightened security arrangements have been put in place ahead of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s expected visit to Quetta tomorrow.
According to railway authorities, the Jaffar Express travelling from Quetta to Peshawar will not operate today and tomorrow due to unavoidable reasons.
Similarly, the train arriving from Peshawar has been returned from Jacobabad, as this service will also remain suspended for two days.
Meanwhile, the Bolan Mail service from Quetta to Karachi has also been suspended for an extended period.
City authorities have implemented strict security measures throughout Quetta to prevent any untoward incidents during the prime minister’s visit.
