Punjab Assembly resolution seeks Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Pakistan leadership
1 min readA resolution was submitted in the Punjab Assembly nominating Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The resolution was presented by Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, Rana Muhammad Arshad.
According to the resolution, during the recent regional tensions, Pakistan’s leadership played a significant role in promoting peace and stability in the region through effective and wise diplomacy.
The resolution stated that the leadership’s diplomatic efforts helped reduce tensions and “saved the world from a major conflict,” and called for their formal nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
