Loud explosions rattled Dubai on Friday, sending smoke plumes over the city centre and shaking nearby buildings, but authorities confirmed no injuries.

The Dubai Media Office said debris from a successful airstrike caused minor exterior damage to a central building.

Sirens were heard along Sheikh Zayed Road, while residents reported feeling their buildings shake.

A day earlier, a minor drone incident in the Al Badaa area also caused smoke to rise briefly, with no casualties reported.

The Gulf region has been heavily affected by Iranian attacks since the Middle East war began on February 28, with 24 people killed so far, including seven US military personnel and 11 civilians.
