The cricketing world is eagerly waiting for one of its most anticipated and high-voltage encounters as traditional rivals Pakistan and India face off in a crucial Group B match of the T20 World Cup in Colombo on Sunday.

Both teams have been testing their strategies for the big match during practice sessions in Colombo, with Pakistan reportedly considering two changes to strengthen their batting lineup.

Sources suggest that explosive batter Fakhar Zaman and young batter Khawaja Nafay could be included in the playing XI for the big clash.

Veteran players Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan emphasised the intense nature of a Pakistan-India match, noting that the fixture attracts attention not only from fans in the two countries but also from cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

They pointed out that performing well in such a high-profile match can make a player an overnight hero.

The match is scheduled to start at 6.30pm Pakistan time in Colombo.

Excitement is running high among players and fans alike, but the weather may play spoilsport er — Sri Lanka’s Meteorological Department has predicted rain during the match, which could disrupt play.

Fans have also started giving advice to the team, suggesting that Pakistan should bat first if they win the toss and score at least 200+ runs to give bowlers a fighting chance.

Amid tensions, expectations, and a few clouds in the sky, all eyes are on Colombo for what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
