Six students injured as jumping castle collapses in Islamabad school
1 min readAt least six students were injured after a jumping castle burst and collapsed during a school function in the Humak police station area of Islamabad, officials said on Tuesday.
According to sources, the inflatable ride had been installed on the second floor of the school building for a special event. It burst due to strong airflow, causing the students riding it to fall to the ground floor.
Police said six children were initially reported injured, including two whose condition was described as critical. All injured students were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Authorities said an investigation into the incident was underway.
Following the accident, the Islamabad administration sealed the school premises and took the principal into custody for questioning.
Officials said further legal action would be taken after completion of the inquiry.
