Due to adverse weather conditions, the Murree Expressway has been partially closed to general traffic as a precautionary safety measure, according to a spokesperson for the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP).

The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel towards Murree in view of the prevailing weather conditions, the spokesperson said.

Officers of the National Highways and Motorway Police are present on site to assist and guide commuters.

All necessary machinery, equipment, additional personnel, and vehicles have been deployed for continuous traffic monitoring, he added.

Travellers are advised to check weather conditions in Murree before starting their journey by contacting the Motorway Police Helpline 130, accessing travel advisories, or following official social media accounts of the Motorway Police.
