Ishaq Dar holds talks with senior Chinese leaders on key issues
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has arrived in Beijing, China, for official talks, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson.
During his visit, Ishaq Dar met with Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Liu Haixing and congratulated him on the successful convening of the 20th Central Committee meeting of the Communist Party of China.
The two leaders held detailed discussions on the current regional situation and ongoing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
They expressed satisfaction over the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and China and reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing friendly relations in the future.
Both sides also agreed to jointly commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in a befitting manner.
Various events and commemorative activities are planned throughout 2026, in which Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will participate.
During his visit, Ishaq Dar will also co-chair the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue. The meeting will review party-to-party interactions, regional developments, and progress on economic corridor projects.
