Government cuts diesel price by Rs14 per litre, keeps petrol unchanged
The government on Monday announced revised prices of petroleum products, cutting the price of high-speed diesel by Rs14 per litre while keeping petrol rates unchanged.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, the price of petrol will remain at Rs263.45 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced to Rs265.65 per litre from Rs279.65 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect from midnight tonight.
The government periodically reviews fuel prices in line with international market trends and domestic fiscal considerations.
