Field Marshal Asim Munir says army ready to counter internal, external threats
Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was briefed on the formation’s operational readiness and ongoing measures to further strengthen combat capabilities.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir witnessed field training exercises and the state-of-the-art simulator training facilities during the visit.
He lauded the formation for high professional standards and overall preparedness.
Addressing officers and troops, the chief of defence forces said that alignment with modern technology was crucial in today’s battlefield environment.
He emphasised that speed, precision, timely situational awareness and swift decision-making were key elements of contemporary warfare.
On the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir also praised the officers and soldiers for their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security.
He stressed that rigorous, structured and mission-oriented training was essential to maintaining and enhancing the army’s professional capabilities.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Army remained fully prepared and vigilant to respond to all internal and external challenges.
He added that hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies and elements seeking to undermine national stability were being countered effectively.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Gujranwala, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the Gujranwala Corps Commander.
