Farhan Saeed launches debut solo album with new single ‘Khat’
After more than two decades in music, singer and actor Farhan Saeed has launched a major new chapter with the release of Khat, the first single and title track from his long-awaited debut solo album.
The song, now available on all major streaming platforms, marks Saeed’s transition to a fully independent musical phase after years of chart-topping singles, drama soundtracks, and band projects that made him one of Pakistan’s most recognisable pop voices.
Saeed quickly shared the track on Instagram with the caption ’‘Khat is your now, sparking fans’ excitement.
Listeners have praised the song for its personal tone and heartfelt storytelling.
Saeed independently wrote, performed, and produced “Khat.” It aims to deliver a direct message from the artist to the listeners.
The music direction by Muhammad Hassan Abbas and Qasim Dahir fuses modern production with the melodic style characteristic of Saeed’s previous creations.
This music video is currently available on YouTube, and the audio can be listened to on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and various other services.
Saeed revealed that his debut album will feature 10 songs in both Urdu and Punjabi, with a new release planned each month for the entire year.
The tracks include Beparwah, Phul Ghulab Da, Manzar, Meri Maa, Ja Vey Mahiya, Ameer Ban Jaun, Tere Naal, Ye Kia Ho Gya, and Na Kar Majboor, with many of them also getting music videos.
Visual artist Umair Fayyaz designed the notebook-inspired artwork for the album, providing each track with a unique identity that aligns with the album’s reflective theme.
Saeed characterised the project as “a message from my heart to yours,” explaining that it shares personal experiences from his 21-year musical journey, including his time with Jal and his solo endeavours.
He attributes the emotional direction of the album to his long-time fans.
Released under Warner Music and Silent Roar, the album is positioned to reach audiences globally, making it one of the most widely distributed Pakistani pop projects to date.
With Khat out and the monthly track releases scheduled, fans are following the album as it unfolds, eagerly awaiting each new chapter in Farhan Saeed’s solo career.
