Govt to empower private sector for economic growth: Aurangzeb

Finance minister says youth-led innovation and digital assets key to Pakistan’s future economy.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the private sector to drive economic growth.

Speaking at the Leadership Summit on Blockchain and Digital Assets in Islamabad on Saturday, he stressed the need to embrace the new economy shaped by innovation, digitalisation, and youth participation.

Aurangzeb said Pakistan must accelerate the adoption of transformative technologies such as blockchain and digital assets, assuring the government’s full support in this transition.

He highlighted that an estimated 20 to 25 million Pakistanis, mostly young people, are already engaged in digital asset-related activities in various forms.

Calling it the right time to move forward, the minister underscored the need to ensure all developments remain within a sound regulatory framework.
