Taking strict notice of the tragic incident of honour killing of a couple in the Degari area of Balochistan, the Balochistan High Court chief justice has summoned the additional chief secretary, home secretary and the IG Police on July 22.

Along with the judicial proceedings, investigations into the incident have also intensified.

The judicial magistrate of Quetta has issued an order to exhume the grave of the murdered woman.

Following the court orders, the process of exhuming the woman’s grave is underway in the presence of the judicial magistrate so that evidence can be preserved.

According to the police, the scope of the investigation has been expanded, and 20 suspects have been arrested so far, including the main suspect who opened fire.

A case of the incident has been registered at the Hana Orak police station, and raids are underway to arrest more accused.
