A tragic accident occurred near the Baraqot area, Upper Dir, en route to Kumrat on Monday, when a vehicle carrying tourists lost control and plunged into a deep ravine, resulting in one fatality and six serious injuries.

According to a spokesperson for the district administration, Rescue 1122 Upper Dir received an emergency call and promptly dispatched response teams along with four ambulances to the accident site.

Rescue personnel administered first aid to the injured at the scene before transporting them to Timergara Hospital for further treatment.

All the injured tourists are reportedly residents of Peshawar.
