Federal Cabinet approves Finance Bill 2025-26
Under the chairmanship of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Federal Cabinet approves the Finance Bill 2025-26 for the new fiscal year on Tuesday.
Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb to present the Finance Bill 2025-26 in the National Assembly later today.
The Cabinet approved a 10% hike in the salaries of federal government employees. A 7% increase in the pensions was also approved.
Addressing the special meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said, “The Country’s economy is improving as all the indicators are positive.”
“We are presenting our best in the given circumstances,” he added. “
Prime Minister acknowledged that the salaried class had borne the maximum burden. He said that the country will head towards economic stability after the Budget 2025-26.
Cabinet also decided not to put any additional burden on the salaried class.
He directed all the ministers and party members to ensure their presence in the National Assembly’s budget session.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had convened the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee to decide the course of action and take all the parliamentary stakeholders into confidence about the budget speech, questioning and debate.
