JUI-F chief announces ‘Defense of Pakistan Day’ on May 9
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that May 9 will be observed as “Defence of Pakistan Day” across the country in response to recent Indian aggression.
According to a statement issued by the party, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has urged religious scholars to pass condemnation resolutions against Indian aggression during Friday sermons.
“We are ready to make every sacrifice for the defence of our homeland,” he said, adding that the entire nation stands united behind the brave armed forces who are confronting the enemy with courage.
“Defending our country is both a duty and a matter of faith,” the JUI-F chief emphasised. “The nation is a fortified wall against any act of aggression by the enemy.”

A day earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman had strongly condemned the Indian attacks and declared his full support for the Pakistan Army, calling for national unity in the face of Indian hostilities.
