Pakistani actress Sania Saeed has opened up about her personal life for the first time, revealing that she has separated from her husband, Shahid Shafaat.

In a recent interview on former supermodel Frieha Altaf’s podcast ’FWhy’, Saeed, a veteran actor known for her powerful performances and social activism, confirmed that she is no longer married to renowned drama writer-director Shahid Shafaat.

When asked about her marriage, Saeed simply stated, “I was [married, but] not anymore.”

During the candid conversation, Saeed shared that she and her ex-husband had been childhood friends and had grown up performing theatre together.

“He was the love of my life at that time,” she said. “But the kind of love we saw between our parents is rare these days. It is beautiful to experience love without compromising your self-respect or dreams.”

Saeed also expressed that she had been fortunate to never have to compromise on anything during her marriage.

“I’ve always been fortunate enough to never have to compromise on anything with my ex-husband,” she concluded.
