Karachi braces for intense heat, humid conditions today, predicts PMD
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that Karachi is set to endure intense heat today with severe and humid conditions.
Daytime temperatures may rise to 38 degrees Celsius, and the humidity could make it feel as hot as 41 to 43 degrees Celsius.
The PMD has issued a warning for extreme heat over the next 24 hours.
However, there is a possibility of sea breezes returning in the evening, which may lead to some improvement in weather conditions.
Currently, the temperature stands at 31 degrees Celsius, but the heat index suggests it feels like 33 degrees Celsius.
Moreover, the Met Officer has stated that winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour, and humidity levels are at 70%.
