The Foreign Office spokesperson has announced the closure of Pakistani airspace to Indian flights, emphasizing that the armed forces are prepared to ensure national security and defense.

Shafqat Ali Khan stated that India’s recent actions have reaffirmed the validity of the two-nation theory.

In a media briefing in Islamabad, Khan indicated that India has unilaterally suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, raising concerns about the potential threat to regional peace and stability.

Additionally, the spokesperson confirmed that all traffic at the Wagah border has been suspended, and all Indian visas issued under the SAARC scheme have been revoked, except for those granted to Sikh pilgrims.

Khan also noted that the staff of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan has been reduced to 30 members, reiterating that Pakistani airspace is now closed to Indian flights.

He assured that the armed forces are fully prepared for any national security challenges.

He further remarked that India’s actions have reinforced the two-nation theory and highlighted that Pakistan addressed these issues in the recent National Security Committee meeting.

The Prime Minister also held productive discussions with Turkish leadership during his latest visit to Turkey.

In addition, Khan mentioned that the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates visited Pakistan, where both sides agreed to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
