Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has issued a serious warning, stating that credible intelligence suggests India is planning an attack on Pakistan, potentially through the banned militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Speaking in a statement on Thursday, Asif revealed that India is allegedly providing weapons and explosives to TTP operatives to fuel instability within Pakistan. He said India is supplying IEDs and other lethal arms through the Afghan Taliban to banned outfits, indicating a dangerous escalation in regional tensions.

“India is repeating its old policies under Modi’s leadership, guided by the same Gujarat mindset,” the minister said, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s controversial political legacy. He warned that any aggressive move by India would be met with a firm response, similar to the aftermath of the Pulwama incident in 2019.

“India suffered humiliation after Pulwama, and if it attempts a similar move again, the result will be no different,” Khawaja Asif emphasised.

He assured the nation that Pakistan would take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and national security. The government, he added, is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with all security agencies and stands ready to respond decisively to any Indian misadventure.
