Bus driver arrested for counting cash while driving on Lahore’s Motorway
The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have registered a case against a bus driver who was seen counting currency notes while driving near Sial Mor on the M-2 Motorway.
The driver was arrested after a video of the incident went viral on social media, drawing widespread public concern.
According to Motorway Police Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, the driver’s reckless behavior posed a serious threat to other people using the road.
An FIR has been registered at Luksian Police Station under relevant sections about negligence and endangerment of public safety.
The spokesperson emphasized that the driver’s reckless behavior had the potential to endanger both passengers and other road users, adding that the Motorway Police prioritize safe highways and secure travel for all commuters.
