Fog related traffic accidents claim 14 lives in Punjab and Sindh
The series of traffic accidents in Punjab and Sindh have resulted in the tragic deaths of 14 individuals.
In Attock district, Punjab, a bus traveling on Motorway M-14 near Fateh Jang overturned, leading to the deaths of 10 passengers and injuring 7 others. The motorway police reported that the accident was caused by the driver’s negligence, which resulted in the bus flipping over after a tire blowout. The bus was en route from Mianwali to Rawalpindi at the time of the accident.
Meanwhile, in Naushahro Feroze District, Sindh, a collision between a van and a trailer occurred in Moro due to severe fog, claiming the lives of seven people, including two women. Fourteen others were injured, with ten individuals in critical condition requiring transfer to Nawabshah for medical attention. Patients faced difficulties at Moro Hospital, where emergency facilities were inadequate.
Police confirmed that the victims were members of the Tigar community, returning to their village from a wedding in Hyderabad. The Deputy Commissioner of Naushahro Feroze and the Chairman of the Municipal Committee visited Moro Hospital upon hearing of the accident and expressed frustration over the lack of emergency services.

In a separate incident in Jacobabad, Sindh, fog has significantly impacted traffic flow. An accident involving a truck and a car injured Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Nabi Bijarani. The collision occurred on the Thall Jacobabad Road, and police have since arrested the truck driver.
