The crackdown on undocumented foreigners in Pakistan continues as authorities deported 3,514 individuals through the Torkham border crossing today alone on Saturday, Khyber district’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Irshad Khan Mohmand said.

Irshad Khan Mohmand reported that 3,514 undocumented foreigners were forcibly repatriated today via the Torkham border in Khyber district. This action is part of a nationwide effort to remove individuals living illegally in the country.

In addition to the deportations, 2,758 foreigners voluntarily arrived at the Landi Kotal transit camp for processing. Legal procedures for these individuals and their families were completed at the camp.

Transfers from other regions

ADC Mohmand added that 756 undocumented foreigners apprehended in various cities across Punjab were also transported directly to the Torkham border for deportation. Furthermore, 59 more detainees were deported from the Jumma Khan transit camp in Peshawar.

Among those processed at transit camps, 1,561 individuals lacked any official documentation, while 1,197 were in possession of Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC), he said.

Cumulative figures since April

Since April 1, a total of 33,258 undocumented foreigners have been deported from Pakistan, ADC Irshad Khan Mohmand confirmed, underscoring the government’s ongoing enforcement campaign.

This operation forms part of broader immigration control measures aimed at regulating the presence of foreign nationals in the country.
