Karachi announces traffic, parking plan for PSL 10 matches
The Karachi police have unveiled a comprehensive traffic and parking plan in anticipation of the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X matches, set to take place at the National Bank Cricket Arena (National Stadium) on April 12, 15, 18, 20, and 21.
In a bid to manage expected congestion around the stadium, the traffic police department has confirmed that Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain accessible for vehicles in both directions.
Special parking arrangements have been established for cricket fans attending the matches.
Parking locations have been designated at the National Coaching Centre/China Ground, with specific routes outlined for fans arriving from various areas:
1- Those coming from Karsaz should use Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road, pass under the stadium flyover, and park at the National Coaching Centre/China Ground.
2- Fans arriving from Millennium are advised to take Stadium Road (Peer Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi Road), turn right under the stadium flyover, and park at the designated area.
3- Those coming from Newtown should proceed on Stadium Road, turn left after Aga Khan Hospital, and park at the same location.
To mitigate traffic disruption, heavy traffic will not be permitted on key routes including Sohrab Goth to NIPA, Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, and Karsaz to the stadium, among others.
In a public advisory, residents are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement and traffic officials to avoid any inconveniences.
Parking on service roads or main roads is not permitted, and fans are urged to use designated parking areas.
