Passenger assaults crew on PIA flight to Paris, gets arrested and blacklisted
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Islamabad to Paris witnessed a violent incident onboard when a passenger attacked the cabin crew after being asked to stop smoking.
According to airline sources, the passenger—identified as Safeer—became aggressive when a flight attendant instructed him not to smoke during the flight. In a fit of rage, he punched the air hostess in the back and twisted her arm. When a steward intervened to protect the crew member, the passenger physically assaulted him as well.
The situation was brought under control by the crew and fellow passengers. Upon landing in Paris, French police boarded the aircraft and arrested the unruly passenger.
In response to the incident, PIA has permanently blacklisted the individual. A spokesperson for the airline confirmed that the passenger is now banned from flying on any PIA flight in the future.
PIA emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards violence and unruly behaviour onboard its flights.
