High value target among 9 militants killed in DI Khan, says ISPR
Pakistani Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Takwara area of Dera Ismail Khan District, responding to reports of the presence of khwarij (terrorists).
During the operation, on the night of April 6-7, the security personnel engaged effectively with the terrorists’ location, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the elimination of nine khwarij, including a high-value target (HVT), the notorious ring leader Shireen.
In addition to the casualties, significant quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants.
Shireen had been on the radar of law enforcement agencies for his involvement in various terrorist activities, including the targeted killings of innocent civilians.
He was also implicated in the martyrdom of Captain Hasnain Akhtar on March 20.
Today’s operation serves as retribution for this heinous act, delivering justice by taking down the primary perpetrator.
