The opposition alliance’s plan to launch a protest movement against government after Eid remains uncertain, with significant political and organisational hurdles still unresolved.

According to sources, the alliance has yet to finalize its basic organisational structure, and discussions on various proposals are still ongoing.

Sources indicate that due to the incomplete organisational framework, the protest movement after Eid has not been finalized. Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami has declined to formally join the opposition alliance and is more interested in running its own separate protest movement.

According to sources, the opposition alliance had proposed a joint protest in Islamabad with Jamaat-e-Islami, while also suggesting that Jamaat-e-Islami hold a protest in Rawalpindi. However, Jamaat-e-Islami has not yet given a definitive response to this proposal.

Sources further reveal that Mahmood Khan Achakzai will be the chairman of the opposition alliance, while the presidency will be given to JUI-F. Each party in the alliance will have a representative serving as vice president. Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is being considered for the position of Information Secretary or spokesperson, while the post of General Secretary is likely to be assigned to PTI-backed Hamid Raza.
