Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) spokesperson Aslam Ghauri has labelled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as the “Gorbachev of PTI,” accusing him of being fearful of the opposition alliance.

Ghauri claimed that despite clear instructions from Imran Khan, Gandapur continues to launch verbal attacks against Maulana Fazlur Rehman, which, he warned, would only benefit the government and anti-democratic forces.

In a statement, the JUI-F spokesperson alleged that Gandapur is deliberately trying to widen the gap between PTI and JUI-F by targeting Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

He further stated that obstructing the formation of a grand opposition alliance serves the interests of the ruling government and undemocratic forces.

“Ali Amin Gandapur is PTI’s Gorbachev. The party is not threatened by external forces but rather by internal conspiracies,” Ghauri remarked.

He went on to say that whenever the opposition nears the formation of an alliance, certain elements start their disruptive activities.

According to him, Gandapur fears losing his grip on power and is resorting to such tactics to prolong his government. He urged PTI leadership to keep an eye on internal conspirators.

Ghauri also warned against underestimating the opposition’s grand alliance, condemning Gandapur for allegedly insulting religious scholars.

“By mocking religious scholars, Gandapur has exposed his low mentality. Ulema are the heirs of prophets, and their disrespect will not be tolerated,” he stated.

He called on PTI to clarify whether Gandapur’s remarks about religious scholars reflect the party’s official stance.
