Supreme Court and lower courts announce five-day Eid al-Fitr holidays
The Supreme Court of Pakistan and lower courts have announced a five-day holiday for Eid al-Fitr, according to an official notification.
The holidays will be observed from March 29 to April 2, with normal court proceedings resuming on April 3.
SC issues notification
Following the directives of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, the Supreme Court Registrar’s Office issued the official notification confirming the Eid holidays.
IHC and lower judiciary to observe same schedule
Similarly, after approval from the acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), the Deputy Registrar of IHC has also released a notification regarding the Eid holidays.

The Islamabad High Court and session courts will also remain closed from March 29 to April 2, resuming normal operations on April 3.
Eid expected on March 31
Meteorological experts and SUPARCO (Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission) have forecasted Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31 (Monday).
However, the final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
