The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in the Shanawari from Hangu district has killed a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The operation was initiated following intelligence reports regarding the presence of terrorists. During the operation, intense gunfire erupted between the security forces and the terrorists.

One of the terrorists was confirmed dead, while his accomplice managed to flee the scene.

Authorities have launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the escaped suspect.

Police officials identified the deceased commander as Saeed, who was linked to the TTP and implicated in the martyrdom of police officer Qudratullah.

Security forces recovered a Kalashnikov (AK-47 rifle), two hand grenades, and SIM cards from Afghanistan from Saeed’s possession.
