PMD predicts intermittent rain, storms across Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast for intermittent rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms across multiple regions of the country on Wednesday.
Snowfall is also expected over high mountainous areas.
Widespread rain is anticipated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Additionally, upper Punjab, Islamabad, and northeastern Balochistan are likely to experience showers.
Heavy rainfall and hailstorms are particularly predicted for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
Authorities warn that strong winds and thunderstorms may pose risks to infrastructure, including damage to electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels.
Agricultural concerns have also been raised, as windstorms and hailstorms could threaten standing crops in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 26 and 27.
